General medicine department at PG Hospital plays a frontline role in diagnosis and management of most common medical problems.

There is a 24-hour emergency unit equipped to provide advanced emergency life saving facilities. The doctors in the department are equipped to provide specialist care for diabetes and hypertension. A Diabetes clinic and hypertension clinic are incorporated with the department. The Department also extends specialty geriatric care for the aged patients seeking medical help. General Medicine department at our hospital plays a nodal role in fever management in the community.
